3 Essential Tips to Free Yourself of Smoking

Smoking is notoriously hard to quit, and most hopeful quitters tend to fall of the wagon sooner or later. Here are 3 simple tips that will set you firmly on the path to freedom from the butt: 

When a single method fails, try a combination of several
There are several ways you quit cigarettes, including the classic cold turkey, using substitutes like gum or patches, and popping prescribed pills that wean you off nicotine. It's not necessary you pick one alone to help you on your way, and depending on how badly you want to, you may opt for additional means to increase your odds. 

Avoid situations you know will make you crave for a smoke
The classic mistake many prospective quitters make is to be overconfident in their ability to be able to resist temptation. It's always prudent to lean toward pessimism in these situations, and look to avoid any situations where you might be inclined to reach for a light. Don't buy whole packs, throw away your lighter, and maybe even avoid hanging out with people in situations where they're likely to smoke.
